If you have a knocked out tooth, this is what to do:
- Find the tooth.
- Never touch the root. Pick up the tooth by the crown, which is the part you chew with.
- Clean it. Lick it if you have to. You can also gently rinse it, but don’t use soap and don’t scrub!
- Keep it moist. If you can place it back in the socket, do so. If not, place it under your tongue or in a container of milk. Wrapping it in tissue and spitting on it works, too.
